Job Title: Senior J2EE Technical Consultant
Responsibilities: Analyze, architect, design, develop, test, deploy, performance tune, troubleshoot and maintain software applications using J2EE (Java 2 Platform, Enterprise Edition), DB2 database server, WebSphere and associated technologies. Specific duties include: meeting with clients to identify and document business requirements; analyzing the requirements and technical studies; architecting the framework; designing and developing system functionality using J2EE and RAD (Rational Application Developer); conducting unit and integration testing; resolving integration issues; managing source code version with Clear Case, CVS, etc.; deploying, configuring, troubleshooting and performance tuning data systems in WebSphere; performing PLSQL programming for batch processes in DB2; writing complex SQL queries for use cases and crystal reports; factorization and code reviewing for 508 compliance and coding standards; and providing technical mentoring to team members, particularly in relation to J2EE technologies.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in any field (or equivalent)
Experience: Five years in the Job offered, or in related J2EE software development position.
Other Reqs.: Experience must include Java Enterprise Architect level experience (3 years)SQL/PLSQL programming in DB2 experience (5 years); Rational Application Developer (RAD) and Websphere Application Developer (WSAD) experience (3 years); and IBM Clear Case experience (1 year). Position also requires experience with government software development projects.
